Is Wedding Photography worth the money?

Often, as an Inverness Wedding and Elopement photographer, I spend time considering my prices. Here are my thoughts on why it is worth paying the price:

Investing in a skilled and experienced wedding photographer is a decision that can significantly enhance the overall quality of your wedding memories. While it may be tempting to cut costs in various areas of wedding planning, a professional photographer is an investment that pays dividends in the long run.

A seasoned wedding photographer brings a wealth of expertise and an artistic eye to capture the most precious moments of your special day. They understand the nuances of lighting, composition, and timing, ensuring that each photograph is a work of art that tells the unique story of your wedding. High-quality photographers use top-of-the-line equipment, enabling them to capture sharp, vibrant, and timeless images that stand the test of time.

Furthermore, a professional photographer is adept at managing the chaos and unpredictability of a wedding day. They can navigate through various lighting conditions, adapt to changing circumstances, and discreetly capture candid moments without disrupting the natural flow of the event. The result is a collection of images that not only document the day but also evoke the emotions and atmosphere of the celebration.

Ultimately, paying more for a skilled wedding photographer is an investment in preserving the magic of your wedding day, ensuring that you can relive those cherished moments with clarity and joy for years to come.

What you can expect from me, before and after you have booked me for your Wedding?

When you get in touch with me regarding your Wedding I try to reply straight away. I usually offer to give you a phone call, but it is better to meet up over a video call, or in person. This gives me a clear picture of what you want for your day from your photographer. We can discuss any ideas you have, and I can also help you with my knowledge to discuss possibilities for your wedding. My style of wedding photos are generally candid and relaxed. I am not a fan of posed pictures. I try to make all of your pictures look as natural as possible.

What can you expect on the day once you have made the right decision and booked me?

I begin in the morning covering the Bridal Preps. This gives some of the most beautiful pictures from the day.

Following this I will get some time with the groom, best man and ushers, to capture some of them arriving, and getting ready if time permits.

Then it is time for the ceremony, where I will document all goings on during this, showing all the emotions of this part of the day.

Group or family photos are next.

Following this is the most important part of the day in my view - The photographs of the newly married couple. Some venues have grounds or gardens which have opportunities for beautiful pictures everywhere. But there is also the option to travel away from the venue for a half hour to a special destination to get the photos that just say wow, every time you see them.

You will then get photographs of the speeches. At the meal I will sit down for a while. No one wants pictures of them eating!

The night is just beginning. Its time to cut the cake.

Then the First Dance, which I will capture along with a good part of the evening dance.

I try to finish up with a few pictures at the end that give a bit of that wow factor. This is usually done with some fancy work with the flash, or sparklers, or even fireworks if you happened to have them at your wedding.

But, all in all I want to make your Wedding Photographs, pictures you will look back on for years and just love them all, and the memories they give you.

On my return home I will edit a few photos for you to have an idea of what is to follow. I will then edit all other pictures and on average you will receive 250-300 photos fully edited by myself.
